Singer/songwriter Todd Sapio started his first band TwelveLead in College Station in the late 90's while attending Texas A&M University and managing a local storage facility (read: free practice facility).  Comprising of bassist Mill Hasbrook, drummer Chris Lamb, and Sapio on lead vocals and guitar, the band emerged as a leader on the alternative rock scene in the Central Texas area.  After Sapio's graduation the band amicably split and Sapio made a move to Los Angeles.  While there he played guitar for a variety of bands (including Monro, with Alison Sudol of A Fine Frenzy) and graced the stage of many legendary venues including the Viper Room, Hotel Cafe, and the Roxy.  It was during this time Sapio formed Language Room as an outlet for his original material and began recording the debut album "Things We Wish For" with producer Derek Jones (The Apex Theory, Stacie Oricco, DJ Quik).  Soon after Sapio decided to move back to Texas and chose Austin as the city in which he would take his concept and let it grow.  After playing a series of solo shows and a few line-up changes, Sapio brought on guitarist Scott Graham, whom he had met while on the West Coast, and in a matter of days Graham's brother Matt joined to take on bass duties.  A few weeks later drummer Caleb Kelly agreed to provide rhythm for the group and for the first time in four years Sapio's vision became reality.  Drawing from their eclectic yet mutual blend of influences, from the Beach Boys to Sigur Ros, the band has become known for their phenomenal song structure, energetic and moving live shows, and brilliant musicianship.

A major turning point for the band came during the Music Lab Battle of the Bands VIII at Austin rock venue Red Eyed Fly where the band faced off against not only other bands but also other genres such as metal and punk.  In the end the band received a perfect score from judges Sal Silva (CDfuse.com), Sean Claes (INSITE Magazine), and Erik Salinas (Fire Kills), the second time in the history of the battle a band had a perfect score (the only other band being the band who performed before them that night).  With the first place prize money the band entered the studio to record a new EP with Jones behind the boards.  The EP is now available at live shows and on Myspace via SnoCap.  In the meantime the band will be touring around Texas and looking to tour nationwide soon.
